Profile of Executive Committee Members of Society
Harman Cultural and Educational Society(Regd.), Upper Gadigarh, Jammu was established in 2018 with an aim of providing State Level (now UT level), National as well as International Level platform to children and youth from various rural areas and localities of J&K to exhibit their talent in the field of dance and multi sports. Several dance competitions and sports activities were held from 2018 to 2020 all over India and abroad in which several children and youth of various age groups participated and brought laurels for the State and Harman Society. The children and youth of various age groups won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in various events. The General Body of Society is grateful to parents of the children and youth for their wholehearted cooperation and hope that they will continue to support us for our future activities also.
Tajinder Singh, President (B.Sc. B.Ed.), worked as a general line teacher for 14 years at Hr. Sec. School, Jammu. With an aim of organizing cultural events and competitions in the field of music and dance for providing platform to children and youth in exhibiting their talents, established the Society “Harman Cultural And Educational Society , Jammu which runs Harman Dance Institute, upper gadi garh, Jammu. The Society has been working on the project of promoting cultural and social harmony among children and youth through its activities in the fields of music,dance and fashion shows.
S. Darshan Singh, Vice-President (M.A. B.Ed.), Retired as Senior Lecturer in education department of J&K.
Gurvinder Kour, General Secretary, M.A. (Dance), B.P.Ed, served as dance teacher in various prestigious institutions of J&K including Air Force School, Jammu, Kendriye Vidyalae, Jammu, organized several events of dance and singing at state level and national level in Jammu and Kashmir, recently organized biggest fashion show “ IFF J&K Fashion Show 2023 in Katra, J&K. Children and youth of Jammu and Kashmir participated in national and international events under her leadership and brought laurels for J&K.
Kamaljeet Kour, Treasurer, B.A., is working as a treasurer/ cashier/clerk at Harman dance institute, upper gadi garh, Jammu.
S. Surinder Singh, Joint Secretary, B.A., is serving as a teacher at an institution.
Balvinder Kour, Member, B.A., is serving as a teacher in an educational institution.
Sakshi Devi, Member, B.Com., doing M.Com. at present, participated in several national and international level dance competitions.
